Hallo zusammen,

diesmal zeige ich euch die "Marie" von Pattydoo aus einem dunkelblauen Romanit Jersey. Der Stoff fällt fließender als der Stoff, welchen ich für die bordeaux-farbene Marie verwendet hatte, daher zaubern die Falten im Vergleich weniger Kurven um die Hüfte herum.

Das ursprüngliche Schnittmuster habe ich in der Weise verändert, dass ich den Rock ca. 10 cm länger gearbeitet und die Rundung des Saums herausgenommen habe (wie bereits bei meiner letzten Hahnentritt Marie).
Zusätzlich habe ich Ärmel (vom Schnittmuster Pattydoo "Ella") angebracht, welche wunderbar gepasst haben. Neuerdings gibt es das Schnittmuster auch als "Eliza" mit den gleichen Änderungen.

Das Kleid kombiniere ich gerne schlicht mit dunkelblauer Strumpfhose und braunen Schuhen. Damit ist es m.E. perfekt für einen Bummel in der Stadt oder auch für casual-fridays im Büro.

Hi there, this time I show you the "Marie" by Pattydoo made from a naviblue romanit jersey. The fabric is more flowing than the fabric I used for the bordeaux-colored Marie, so the wrinkles conjure up fewer curves around the hips. I altered the original pattern in the way that I lengthened the skirt about 10 cm and took out the curve of the hem (like I did it the last time). In addition, I attached sleeves (from the pattern Pattydoo "Ella" pattern), which fitted perfectly.

Recently, the pattern is also available as "Eliza" with the same alterations. I like to combine the dress simply with dark blue tights and brown shoes. was soll ich sagen, der Marie-Hype hat auch mich gepackt... 

Kennt Ihr ein anderes Schnittmuster, welches 400+ Feed-Beiträge bei Instagram, sowie 3.780+ Treffer bei google und selbst in der Burda-Style-Community viele Nach-Näherinnen gefunden hat?

Ich jedenfalls nicht...

Diesen Ruhm hat das Schnittmuster Marie von Pattydoo m.E. zu Recht: Das Kleid hat einen wunderschönen femininen Style und zaubert sowohl bei schlanken als auch bei kurvigen Frauen eine tolle Figur und der Clou an der Sache: Dieses Kleid ist innerhalb eines Vormittags genäht - kein Witz.

Ich habe die Größe 34 verwendet und sie passt perfekt! An dem Schnitt habe ich folgende Änderungen vorgenommen: Ich habe das Kleid aufgrund meiner Körpergröße (1,74 cm) um 8 cm verlängert und einen geraden Saum genäht - anders als der im Schnittmuster vorgegebene "geschwungene" Saum.

Ich bin sehr sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis und plane schon meine nächste Marie.

What can I say, the Marie hype has also grabbed me ...

Do you know an other pattern, which has 400+ feed posts on Instagram, as well as 3,780+ hits on google and is hyped even in the Burda-style community?

Not me...

The pattern Marie from Pattydoo is worth the fame: The dress has a beautiful feminine style and creates a great bodyshape for slim as well as curvy women and the highlight: This dress is sewn within a morning - no joke.

I used size 34 and it fits perfectly! Although I alterated the following parts: Due to my height (1.74 cm), I have lengthened the dress by 8 cm and sewed a straight hem - unlike the "curved" hem prescribed in the pattern.

I'm very happy with the result and I'm already planning my next Marie.

Das erste mal Färben /// 1st-timer: dyeing

Hallo zusammen,

ich war zunächst super happy mit dem weißen Ergebnis meines upgecycleten Herrenhemdes (siehe letzter Post). Solange, bis ich es das erste mal bei Sonnenschein trug. In der Sonne zeigte sich nämlich, dass ich zwei verschiedene Stoffe verwendet hatte: Das Hemd war aus Baumwolle mit der chemischen Faser Elasthan und wirkte leicht gelblich, im Unterschied zum weißen "weißer-geht's-nicht" Rock, welcher aus 100% Baumwolle bestand.
Außerdem fühlte ich mich ein bisschen wie eine Braut, so ganz in Weiß - fürs Office ungeeignet, auch weil ich keinen Blazer habe, der dazu passte.

Was liegt daher näher, als das frisch genähte Kleid umzufärben...?! Gedacht, getan. In der Drogerie meines Vertrauens wurde ich fündig und entschied mich für die Textilfarbe-Intensiv "Nacht-Blau" von Simplicol. Blau geht immer, dachte ich und habe auch gleich einen Pullover und eine Strickjacke mit dem Färbemittel in die Waschtrommel gegeben.

Von dem Ergebnis bin ich begeistert. Ich finde es toll, dass die Stoffe aufgrund unterschiedlicher Zusammensetzung die Farbe unterschiedlich angenommen haben. Zusammen mit dem beigen Blazer kann ich das Kleid nun auch im Büro tragen. Unten drunter trage ich übrigens ein hautfarbenes Unterkleid, welches - durch den Rock durchschimmernd - für einen weiteren Effekt sorgt.

Auch mit umgefärbtem Pullover und Strickjacke bin ich sehr zufrieden. Sicherlich trage ich diese nun wieder häufiger.

Hello everybody,

First I was super happy with the white result of my upcycled men's shirt (see last post). So long as I wore it the first time in the sunshine. In the sun everybody can see, that I used two different fabrics: The shirt is made of cotton with the chemical fiber elastane and turned light yellow in the sunshine, unlike the very bright and very white skirt made of 100% cotton. I simply did't feel comfortable with the whiteness of the dress.

That's why I planned to dye it. Thought, done. At the drugstore I bought the textile color intensive "Night Blue" by Simplicol. Blue is never wrong I thought. I also dyed a sweater with only one pack of color in the washing mashine.

I'm excited about the result. Together with the beige blazer I can wear the dress in the office again. Underneath the dress I am wearing a nude colored underdress, which shimmers through the skirt - provides another effect.

I am also very happy with the dye of sweater and cardigan.

 

Sommerkleid # 6 /// Upcycling Men's Shirt

Das Projekt "ausrangiertes Herrenhemd in etwas Neues upcyclen" hatte ich schon länger auf meiner Näh-Agenda. Doch gab es dringendere Projekte im Rekordsommer 2018 - nämlich erstmal Sommerkleider im Akkord nähen... "Zufällig" entstand aber auch aus dem Herrenhemd ein Kleid - was für ein "Zufall". Ich hatte jedoch erst einen gerafften Rock im Sinn (siehe Drapierung unten). In meiner Vorstellung sah diese Kombination mit einem hachdünnen Baumwollstoff im Farbverlauf (weiß zu hellblau) gut aus, an Püppi aber nicht mehr. Daher entscheid ich mich für einen geraden Rock aus weißem spitzenähnlichen Baumwollstoffstoff und bin sehr glücklich damit. Das Kleid ist auch das erstes Stück, welches ich abweichend vom verwendeten Schnittmuster mit einem ganz neuen Design versehen habe.

There still was left the "upcycling men's shirt" project on my sewing to do list. During this hot summer there were more urgent projects first - namely sewing summer dresses... "Coincidentally" I upcycled the men's shirt in a dress as well. However, I had a gathered skirt in mind to match it with the upcycled bodice (see draping below). In my imagination, this combination with a thin cotton fabric in the color gradient (white to light blue) looked good, but on the manaquin not at all. That's why I opt for a straight skirt made of white lace-like cotton fabric and I'm very happy with it. The dress is also the first piece, which I have provided deviating from the pattern into a whole new design.

Sommerkleid # 5 /// Summer Dress # 5

Hallo an alle!

Ich bin sehr stolz auf mich: Ich habe endlich mal wieder ein anderes Schnittmuster für ein Kleid ausprobiert. Hintergrund war, dass ich mit den bislang verwendeten Schnittmustern aus der Fashionstyle zwar zufrieden war. Allerdings störte mich, dass das Vorderteil aus insgesamt 3 Teilen bestand. Schon seit längerem suchte ich daher ein Schnittmuster in Größe 34, welches für das Oberteil nur 2 Teile verwendet. Ich wurde fündig in dem Kleider-Buch "Kleider nähen" des EMF Verlags und bin sehr begeistert von Buch und Schnitt, welcher auf Anhieb perfekt passte!

Hello everyone!

I am very proud of myself: I have finally tried a different pattern for a dress than usual. I was satisfied with the patterns of fashion style magazine I used so far. However, I was bothered that the front part consisted of 3 parts in total. Since a long time I was looking for a pattern in size 34, which only uses 2 pieces for the front bodice. I found what I was looking for in the book "Sewing Clothes" of the EMF publishing house and am very enthusiastic about the book and the pattern, which fit perfectly right away!

Paisley Sommerkleid # 4 /// Summer Dress with Paisley Print #4

Auch dieses Kleid entstand nach dem abgewandelten Schnittmuster "Kleid Catho" des Fashionstyle Magazins (Ausgabe 03/2018). Verwendet habe ich unelastische Webware aus glänzender Baumwolle. Mit beigem Blazer das perfekte Business-Outfit für wärmere als auch kühlere Sommertage.

This dress was created with the modified pattern "Dress Catho" of Fashionstyle magazine (03/2018). I used inelastic woven fabric made of shiny cotton. In combination with a beige blazer it is the perfect business outfit for warmer as well as cooler summer days.

Rosa Sommerkleid # 3 /// Summer Dress in Pink # 3

Dieses Kleid entstand aus dem abgewandelten Schnittmuster des Fashionstyle-Magazins, aus welchem ich bereits das Polka-Dots und das rote Etuikleid genäht hatte. Ich liebe diesen Schnitt und es sollte nicht das letzte Kleid des Sommers von diesem Schnittmuster gewesen sein ;).

Außerdem liebe ich die Farbe des Stoffs, da er sehr kombinations-freudig ist.

This dress was created from the modified pattern of the fashion style magazine, from which I had already sewn the polka dots and the red etui dress. I love this pattern and it should not have been the last dress for the summer from this pattern ;). In addition, I love the color of the fabric as I can wear it with so different blazers.
